Christ is warning about self deception among souls in the church.

Christ adds the sharp warning of Matthew 7:21 to many others in the Bible.
- Numbers 22:18 & Revelation 2:14, 1Samuel 10:10 & 1Samuel 15:23, Matthew 10:1 & verse 4, Acts 19:13, 14-16, Matthew 24:24.
The danger of self deception must drive us to self examination.
"You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am."

The true disciple of Christ says "Lord" in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The true disciple gives glory to God as he lives in the world.

The fear of self deception must bring us to fear the Lord.
If you fear self deceit, repent and be converted.

The Father in heaven wills that all His children heed his warning.

The Father wills that his children on earth be perfect in holiness.
