Matthew 5:27-32

Do not commit adultery

1. Uncover sin.

   1. The act of sin is forbidden: do not commit adultery.

• Gen 2:23-24; Lev 20:10; Prov 6:32; Gal 5:19.

  1. The conception of sin is forbidden: do not look to lust for someone.

  2. The conception of sin which leads to the growth of sin leads to death.

• James 1:14-15; Heb 11:25-26

1. Starve sin.

   1. Cut off the stimulation that lead to the conception of sin.

   2. Cut off the deeds of the body that lead to the development of sin.

   3. Cut off the thoughts that lead to sin.

1. Die to sin.

   1. Crucify the flesh with its passions and desires.

   1. Press on, lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus laid hold of you

3. Phil 3:12

   1. Walk in the right way: there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Rom 8:1
