Hebrews 1:5-14
The Son of God and the angels.
- The Scriptures confirm that Christ is the Lord of hosts, exalted above the angels, so we might look to him and not miss the true way of peace with God.
Christ is the Lord of hosts: complete in majesty, might and authority.
Psalm 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.
Psalm 48:8; 46:7; 1Samuel 17:45;
Isaiah 44:6 " Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.
The Lord of hosts guarantees the promises of God to his people.
Psalm 84:12; Isaiah 8:13; 2Samuel 7:26; 2 Kings 3:14
Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
The Lord of hosts is perfect in holiness and dwells surrounded by the angels of heaven.

Isaiah 37:16 "O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
God has only one firstborn Son. ( Psalm 2, 2Samuel 7:14)
God has begotten the Son but has created the angels. [Psalm 2; 2Samuel 7:14]]
God commands the angels to worship the Son. [Psalm 97:7 Deut 32:43 in LXX]
God is jealous of his worship; the Father and the Son are One.
The angels are spirits who are God's ministers. [Psalm 104:3, 4; Psalm 18:10]
God calls his Son God the King. [Psalm 45:6]
The Son of God has an eternal throne.
The Son of God rules with righteousness, which he loves. [Psalm 45:6]
The Son of God is anointed with the oil of gladness above all others. [Psalm 45:7]
The angels and the men that serve Christ are all surpassed by him.
The Son of God is ageless and unchangeable. [Psalm 102:25-27]
The Son of God created the earth and the heavens.
The work of his hands will grow old and perish, but he won't.
The Son of God is reigning in total victory over all who oppose him. [Psalm 110]
The Lord of hosts is carrying out his will to redeem his people and to judge the wicked, and destroy death.

Isaiah 47:4 As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.
The angels are sent forth to minister for his people.

Rev 3:5 "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
