Ephesians 6:10-12
The Fight of Your Life
I. Christian conflict: a fight for life and to the death.
A. A difficult and dangerous war.
B. A spiritual battle against spiritual forces.
C. A spiritual battle against forces that use lies, deceit and
treachery.
Psalm 64:5-6; Matthew 4:5-6; Luke 8:12.
II. The strength and power of the Lord defend you.
A. An exhortation backed up by an Almighty Lord.
Ephesians 1:18-21; Col 2:15; Heb 2:14-15; Exod 15:6.
B. He is the head, the church is the body, you are a limb.
Galatians 2:20; 2Cor 12:10.
III. To stand you must use divine weapons.
A. The divine armor covers you on all sides and for all attacks.
B. It is futile to attempt to fight this war with other weapons.

C. To stand, to withstand, and having done all, to stand.
Job 19:25-27; 2Tim 4:7-8; Mt 16:22-23.
IV. The battle you face today and tomorrow.
A. Watch out for the deceitfulness of religious schemes. Col
2:18-23.
B. Watch our for the deceitfulness of your own desires. Mt 16:24-27.
C. Keep the enemy away from your heart.
1. Avoid pride, cultivate humility. 1Timothy 3:6-7, James 4:6-7.
2. Repent quickly and be reconciled. Eph 4:26-27.
3. Avoid foolish disputes; learn the truth from God’s
Word. 2Tim 2:23, 25-26.
4. Maintain a good witness in the world. 1Tim 3:7.
D. Be steadfast in the fight:1Peter 5:8-9, Eph 3:16-17.
E. Live the life of Ephesians 4-6.
