Ephesians 4:1-6
Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace
Christ is glorified in the church when Christians demonstrate love, peace, unity, and a common commitment to the truth of God’s revealed will, the Bible.
I. Walk worthy.
A. Before and after walks: Eph 2:2, 2:10, 4:1, 4:17, 5:2, 5:8, 5:15.
B. Walk worthy of the calling of God, Eph 1:3; Eph 1:18.
Phil 1:27; Col 1:10; 1Thess 2:12
C. Walk with heavenly life in your soul, in your thoughts, in your
words, in your actions.
Romans 12:16; Proverbs 27:2; Matthew 11:29; Galatians 5:22; Gal 5:22

II. Keep the unity of the Spirit.
A. Endevoring, being eager to, trying hard to... keep the unity of
the Spirit.
B. The bond is peace.
C. The Holy Spirit is not divided.

III. Remember the seven “ones” that keep us united.
A. One body and one Spirit.
Ephesians 1:23;1Corinthians 12:13
B. in hope of your calling,
Ephesians 1:18.
C. one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
Ephesians 1:22; Galatians 1:23; Jude 1:3; Romans 6:4
IV. Our walk together in this church.
A. Unity without the seven “ones” is peace with the devil.
B. God loves his children to be united: our motive it to please him.
C. The way we discuss and debate differences and disagreements
matters greatly.
