Ephesians 3:20-21
Exceedingly Abundantly Above All That We Ask or Think.
I. Doxology: praise to the only true God, who is worthy of all praise.
A. The blessing of God in 1:3 declares the reasons for our praise of
God.
B. God is able: he will do all that he has promised.
Acts 20:32; Rom 16:25; Jude 1:24.
Matt 3:9; 8:23; 9:28; John 10:29; 15:5; Phil 3:21
C. What he has promised is even greater than we would expect.
Eph 3:18-19; Psalm 61:1-2; Phil 2:12.
II. Praise: to the only true God, who is able to exceed all our expectations.
A. God’s power works through the Holy Spirit in the souls of
believers
Eph 1:19-20
B. Only the heart enlightened by the Holy Spirit can grasp the
purposes of God.
1Cor 2:9-10
C. Petition, blessing, and praise rise up from our souls for the
indescribable gift of God!
Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8; 2Cor 9:15
III. Praise: in the Church, from all generations, forever and ever.
A. We are to praise God’s glory for his love and for our Redeemer.
B. God is very much glorified when we live as a holy people
C. The church must seek above all else the glory of God and the
blessedness of his people.
Eph 3:20-21; Acts 2:42
D. Our response to God’s praise: Amen!
“ So be it.”
John 15:8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
Hebrews 13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
