Ephesians 3:14-19

That you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Paul’s prayer for the church: though Christ dwells in believers, God has yet more of his grace and glory to give them.

  I.  Prayer for the church centers on God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
 

      A.  “I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
     

      B.  To be strengthened with might through His Spirit.
     

      C.  That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
     

  II.  Prayer for the church becomes effective through faith.
     

Hebrews 11:6

      A.  Faith is God’s gift to save us and to build us up.
        

Eph 2:8 & Eph 1:13; Eph 3:17.

      B.  The Spirit strengthens us; Christ dwells in our hearts through
faith.
     

      C.  Faith in Christ is the effective channel through which God’s
blessings satisfy our souls.
     

   III. Prayer for the church aims to deepen our relationship with God.
 

      A.  Our hearts become the dwelling place of Christ
     

      B.  Our foundation and nurturing soil is love.
     

      C.  God’s loving dimensions become our meditation.
     

      D.  The fullness of God is our source and our goal.
