Ephesians 1:7-12 In Christ We Have All Things

   I.  In Christ we have the full display of the love of the Father in heaven.
       A.  In him we have every spiritual blessing, v. 3.
       B.  In Christ God shows his love and particular care for us.
      

  II.  In Christ we have the full redemption needed by God’s children.
       A.  We are delivered from captivity to sin, Rom 7:23, Psalm 102:19-20, Romans 8:34.
       B.  Through the blood of Christ
       C.  God’s grace abounds to us through our knowledge of Christ,  Eph 1:17 and Eph 4:1, 1Cor 2:30, 1Cor 2:7-10.
      

  III.   In Christ we have an inheritance that he guarantees.
       A.  Sin has divided us, corrupted us and scattered us from our inheritance, Isaiah 59:1-2.
       B.  In Christ we gain a new home and family life.
       C.  In Christ all things are summed up.
      

  IV.  In Christ we have comfort through life in the world.
 

       A.  Live in awareness of God’s love for you.
         
           No matter what. Psalm 38:21-22, Psalm 116:3-4, Psalm 37:3
          
 

       B.  Remember that we are slaves set free.
      

       C.  Make use of all wisdom and knowledge God has given you in his grace.
         
           Apply the gospel daily.
          
 

       D.  Since God’s design is to gather together all things in Christ, be diligent in your family life and in church life to live as one in him.
